Vedānta

'Living is an art, a skill, a technique.

You need to learn and practise it as you would to play a

musical instrument or fly an aircraft.'

(A. Parthasarathy)

Vedanta is derived from two Sanskrit words Veda (Knowledge) and Anta (End) and so heralds the moment where the acquisition of knowledge ends and ones true essence is revealed. This ancient philosophy arose in the mountains and valleys of the Himalayas and presents the principles of living that are eternal and unbounded. It offers a life of mental peace combined with dynamic action and provides the clarity of intellect needed to deal with the challenges of life today.  Above all Vedanta leads one to the ultimate goal of Self-Realisation.

This philosophy is a synthesis of knowledge contributed by eminent thinkers and sages over the centuries. Swami Parthasarathy’s unique contribution is to translate Vedanta into modern thought and make this ancient wisdom accessible to present and future generations.
